Using Scan It

Using Plus Software

The Blueprint editor looks very similiar to a web-based PowerPoint. What are the differences?

The Blueprint editor is a full-featured web-based PowerPoint with additional components called Building Blocks that are instructional in nature.  Thus, anyone familiar with PowerPoint should be immediately comfortable with the Blueprint editor.

It also includes the ability to import simple PowerPoint slides from desktop PowerPoint files as well as to import ExamView content that is associated with most major textbooks.

All USB video class web and document cameras should work with our scanning solution. However the Elmo brand document camera is not a USB video class camera and will not work with our solution.

How is my Cloud-based PLUS software updated?

The ALL In solution is entirely cloud-based so there are no plug-ins or other desktop components required for installation on your desktop to upgrade.  You can literally run your Instruction Center from any computer connected to the ALL In Cloud.

Thus, we can update the PLUS software as needed without any requirements of you or your IT group.

ALL In provides a simple form-based template that can be created and assigned to assessment building blocks.  The template supports a variety of objective, rubric and constructed response questions.  Additionally, standards can be associated with each question via this template.

One merely uses the Insert option within PLUS and selects Assessment Key to initiate the form.  The resulting question slides are then associated with your specific instructional strategy – formative assessement, summative assessment, collaborative activity or homework assignment.

Can I share specific Blueprints that I create with my colleagues?

Yes, you can publish your Blueprint and all campus and Professional Learning Community colleagues can then copy it to their Instruction Center.

Is an ALL In Learning Blueprint the same as a lesson plan?

In some respects it is, as it lays out your classroom activities by task.

However, the ASSIST app will record the specific time on task as you activate and use the various components of your Blueprint.  It also collects any student outcomes from formative, summative and collabortive assessment activities as well as capturing any homework results.  Thus, it delivers a unique instructional profile for each classroom lesson.

What happens if, during a scanning of a student bubble sheet, student answers are not bubbled in clearly?

ASSIST will return an alert that there is a potential problem by indicated, in red, the results for that particular student.  You can then merely tap in the answer that you observe from the actual paper.

What is the code in the bottom right corner of the bubble sheet and what does it do?

The code is called a Quick Response code and will contain the ID of the student if printed from a roster from the ALL In Cloud.  This will allow one to quickly scan a bubble sheet and have the grade automatically attached to the correct student.  This eliminates the need to “slug in” a student id which can be a source of error.

Can I create an answer key for an assessment using ASSIST?

You can ONLY for an assessment that is completely objective for all questions.  This is done using the Summative Assessment, Collaborative Activity or Homework Assignment Blueprint building blocks and tapping the camera to transfer the answers from a bubble sheet to your ASSIST app.  All other question types must be constructed from the ALL In Learning Cloud and downloaded to ASSIST.
