Dr. Darrell Ward - Chief Executive Officer

Dr. Darrell Ward is a cofounder of ALL In Learning and a veteran educational technology pioneer, executive and entrepreneur. Darrell founded eInstruction Corporation in 1981 and led its growth to the number 1 company in student response systems in the education market as CEO from 1981 until 2008.  Prior to founding eInstruction, Dr. Ward started the Computer Science program at the University of Mississippi, had faculty teaching and research positions at Texas A&M, The University of Texas System, and the University of North Texas.  He has had consulting positions with Texas Instruments, the U.S. Civil Service Commission, General Dynamics, and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. Dr. Ward has a patent concerning student assessment in a student response environment and a patent pending regarding streaming of assessment information to wireless teacher slates.  Presently, he has a book in the publication stage regarding the establishment of the “clicker” industry by eInstruction and its impact on education.  

Darrell has a PhD from Texas A&M University, a Master’s Degree from the University of Iowa, both in Computer Science and an undergraduate degree in Mathematics from Baylor University.  His leadership in technology and classroom assessment in the early 2000s pioneered the establishment of the market category of Student Response Systems (SRS). Currently, there are more than 10 million response units nationwide in classroom use and more than 20 different companies selling response units worldwide.

Darren Ward - Chief Sales and Marketing Officer

Prior to founding ALL In Learning, Darren was instrumental in creating and leading eInstruction’s sales team and marketing efforts.  He worked at eInstruction for 17 years and led the sales team that propelled eInstruction’s explosive growth.  He pioneered eInstruction’s viral marketing approach that generated wide-spread interest in eInstruction’s response pad technology and a fervent following at trade shows around the country.  The educational consultants selling team that he led was one of the most successful sales organizations in the education marketplace.  He brings that experience, expertise and passion to ALL In Learning.

He is married to Amy and the father of three sons.  He attended Baylor University where he earned a degree in Business.

William Johnson - Chief Technical Officer

William Johnson is a cofounder of All In Learning and was part of the senior management team of eInstruction Corporation where he launched groundbreaking educational products such as CyberClass, The Classroom Performance System, CPS 802.11 wireless response systems, the CPS Chalkboard and REAP – Real-time Evaluation of Academic Progress reporting solution. William led the development of all eInstruction technology from 1996 through 2008.  He is excited about the opportunity to build a new platform for educational technology with ALL In Learning.

William lives in the country where he built his own house and has a small but growing herd of registered Angus beef cattle. He and his wife Shalene have 8 children.

William received his bachelor’s in Finance from the University of North Texas and is enrolled at Texas Christian University where he is pursuing a Masters in Business.
