These great new features and improvements are now available!

ALL NEW!

Mastery Process

We’ve added a powerful new feature called Mastery Process for PLCs (also called “data teams”), an area in k-12 education that is experiencing exponential growth. We built Mastery Process to support the proven Mastery model of instruction in which detailed results of a pre-test help a PLC plan, strategize, and teach a unit of instruction, and a post-test confirms mastery levels. Sorting through the information can be cumbersome for this process, but the practice has still grown because of its effectiveness. Now the data part is incredibly easy, and teams can focus on the students. You’ll find Mastery Process in your PLC tab. Please call or email with any questions about how to use it to the fullest!

Improved: ExamView Import

For a long time, we’ve been able to import ExamView files into PLUS, but we’ve spent time and resources beefing up this import engine so that imported ExamView files will look beautiful in PLUS, ASSIST, and in our new iOS app for students, Engage & Learn.

You can import an ExamView file into an SA building block within the Blueprint Editor, under the Insert menu. The key will automatically load for grading, and you can project the images in class or have them display as slides or questions in Engage & Learn.

Other Fixes and Improvements

Our team is always making improvements. In the last few weeks we’ve made several small consistency changes to the interface, did some bullet-proofing under the hood, and made minor improvements to some report layouts.

Use Quick Quizzes for RtI and Attach Standards Later

One of the fastest-growing strategies in teaching is the use of formative assessment — those “Quick Check” type assessments that tell you if your students comprehend what you’ve just taught.

It’s easy to create a key and instantly grade (for instructions see www.allinlearning.com/quick-start-guide), but did you know that you can later attach standards to the results, adding to a growing record of the standards you’ve covered and comprehension levels?

In your Footprints tab, choose the “Actions” menu and choose “Edit Key” to add standards after the fact!

That’s it for this edition of ALL In News. If you would like more information on how to use any of the features listed here, please feel free to shoot me an email or call!
